United Fort Worth is a Black and Brown led and centered, grassroots organization, confronting multiple violent systems of oppression through community education, collective solidarity actions, and community care.

Liberation Justice
We work alongside system-impacted community members to dismantle the violent system of confinement, abuse and control – known as mass incarceration, through political education, policy change, mutual aid legal assistance, and community empowerment.
Migration Justice
United Fort Worth was founded on the fight for migration justice in 2017. That year, Senate Bill 4 (the show me your papers bill) became law in Texas, and United Fort Worth was born out of the community standing together to make sure that our immigrant community’s voices were heard on the city level, and to build community awareness and safety. Today, that work continues as we stand with community and comrades in the ongoing fight for migration justice and all interconnected struggles.
Civic Empowerment
We work to help Black, Brown and other people in our community who have been historically marginalized by oppressive systems, better understand and engage in changing local government to work for us.
Electoral Power
We work to educate and mobilize Black and Brown residents in Fort Worth to actively participate in the electoral process – by voting, by engaging in campaign work and by building relationships with elected officials. We recognize that in order to build political power, for and by the people, that it starts with grassroots community organizing and thinking beyond the status quo. We believe the people should not be beholden to a political party, entity or figure – we are beholden to ourselves as a collective community.
Our Book
My City/Mi Ciudad is an act of love for our neighbors. This bilingual book is designed by and tailored especially for Black, Indigenous, people of color and any systematically excluded persons in our beloved communities. Because WE keep each other safe, we provide for each other and we will stand with one another in our fight for liberation. The book is full of helpful information like Know Your Rights, Political Education, Community Empowerment and city services. My City/Mi Ciudad was the heart of our Community Empowerment Project in 2022. The goal of this project is to build power and community within and between Black and Brown communities in Fort Worth, around issues like immigration and criminal justice, housing justice, food security, civic empowerment and access.

Want to Reserve our Space?
The center and backyard are open for reservations on Saturdays & Sundays, depending on our team’s capacity! The space is free to reserve, we just ask that you help us keep the space clean and if you want a way to contribute, bring shelf-stable food items to the community food pantry. We ask that you please read and commit to our community agreements before considering a reservation!
